The Classifications Of Heart Failure

Heart failure is the dysfunction of the heart work so it is not able to provide with the necessary amount of blood all the organs and systems of a human’s body as it is supposed to. This heart disease is wide spread enough and women are considered to be more likely to have it. It can develop in two forms. Sharp form is characterized by fast mechanism of development and progress, from several minutes to a couple of hours. It causes lung edema, heart asthma and cardiogenic shock. The reasons of its appearance are usually myocardium attack, tear of the left heart ventricle, sharp failure of aortal and mitral valves.

The chronic form develops slowly; it takes weeks, months or even years. The reasons of its occurrence are heart defects, arterial hypertension, chronic breathing failure, long-term anemia. Generally there are two classifications of heart failure. The first one divides it into several stages. The first one is characterized by almost full absence of symptoms, the third means serious problems with cardiovascular system. Second classification divides the disease into four classes:

  1. The patient has dyspnea while walking up the stairs higher than 3rd floor. The physical activity stays on its usual level.
  2. Dyspnea appears while fast walking and going up the 1st floor. There is a slight reducing of the physical activity. The average activity causes signs of heart failure.
  3. The heart failure symptoms appear during the slightest activity and even walking. The symptoms disappear while resting.
  4. Symptoms of the disease appear even while resting, and the slightest activity increasing leads to serious problems with cardiovascular system.

What are the symptoms of heart failure? They depend on the part of the heart that has dysfunction in its work. Left ventricle dysfunction characterizes by dyspnea, cyanosis, dry wheezes and coughing with blood. Right ventricle dysfunction is characterized by limb edema and the pain under ribs from the right that means blood stagnation in the liver veins.

Also rosacea may be a warning sign. The latest researches proved that patients with this skin disease have more risks on having hypertension and coronary disease with all the associated consequences.
